Today our Shikoku road trip comes to a very eventful end. We were exhausted and not prepared for what was to come…
11 days into our road trip and things get weird.
For this video we are in the Kagawa prefecture on Shikoku Island – Japan’s least visited main island. We take a ferry to Shodoshima (or Olive Island) to see the popular Angel Road and Maze Town, then head back into Takamatsu city for some udon! Kagawa is the smallest prefecture in Japan, but is known for having over 600 udon shops. Then we go to ‘Takamatsu Castle’ only to discover it hasn’t existed for over a 100 years. 🤣 Somebody send us home.

Lol the castle 😂
Hi guys,
After all, capitalism rules even Japan. The misleading pamphlet of Takamatsu castle proves that. Is there a fine print saying that this is what will look like when the castle is rebuilt? So funny. I would be really pissed if I went there expecting the picturesque castle on Shaneen’s phone and find just open space there.
