Ueno park is a must-see place when you visit Tokyo but it’s even more beautiful during spring! It was actually a popular Sakura spot since the 16th century.

You will find there an impressive number of Sakura trees (around 800!) and their flowers start to bloom around mid March.

One of the most popular activity in the park is to walk along the large alley with Sakura trees in both sides. But you can also visit temples, shrine and also the gorgeous Shinobazu pond!

As it’s a quiet big park, prepare around half a day to visit it all.
