  1. You still have to wear a mask there. They have massive inflation because the JPY currency is collapsing. If you have USD then it's great. However, a lot has changed and the world is entering a global depression.

  2. Tokyo's charm is night. The city is wonderful at night. And you can safely stroll anywhere. During the day, you can stroll through parks, shrines, indoor shopping, etc. The best time to walk around the city is at night.

  4. I imagine Covid questions are on the top of everyone’s mind. My question is masks, it appears to be the thing to wear them in doors out of respect. I also see most people have them on outside. Where is the line, in more distanced outdoor settings is it less a thing? How many people don’t wear one in those situations? Do people dodge them like the plague? Do some people dodge you like the plague? I don’t expect any answers and if I get one I don’t expect all my answers. It could be a good topic for a YouTube video though. The logistics of testing and the culture from your eyes post Covid.

  5. Toilets in a closet are the normal thing:) well, toilets being in their own separate room is normal, as it is seen as hygienic . In fact, having a bathroom with a toilet in it is an indication of a cheap apartment in Tokyo 🤣😅. Having the facet above the toilet is actually a way typical way to combat water waste! 😀 Isn't that cool? The water you use to wash your hands fills the toilet bowl! Very water conscious !

  6. The area of Asakusa you visited near Sen soji closes pretty early at night. At like 8pm or so it's almost a ghost town. Best to visit very early before the tourist rush and just before shops open to get what you want without waiting. I recommend visiting Ninja bar asakusa. It's located in one of tokyo's older underground streets and its filled with great people.
