Traditional Japanese food is always on the list of favorite foods of many foreign and local people. Although originated in France in 13th century, crepes have found their way to Japan sometime in 1970s and appeared on the streets of Harajuku. Ever since, different funky crepes stands became a part of local culture know as “Kawaii” (cute) that is a major trend nowadays, especially among younger generation. 🎎 🎌

What makes them different from their French origins is that Japanese street crepes are thinner, folded into a cone in paper wrapping, and most importantly, full of unique ingredients. Unlike French crepes, Japanese crepes use wheat flour for both sweet or savory fillings.
