  3. My first coaster, 1970. We'd been to the park so many times and no one would go on the coaster with me. Had to get the nerve up to do it myself, on my own, at 9 years old. Scared, but loved it. Second wooden coaster: The Coney Island Cyclone. Heck, I' thought, I'd been on a coaster before–at Canobie Lake, this one has to be just as–OMG… what have I DONE!!???

  4. The only bad part about rides like this is when you get to the brake run at the end… There are some days when you just wish you could ride on a loop without getting off.

  5. Since the most recent retracking, the Yankee Cannonball is much smoother than it was in these days. Some say it's been robbed of force as well, but I'm not sure–I think it's just not as shaky.
