Daily Asakusa 【30th of September 2022】
Local guide walking around in Asakusa day 152!
Today I planned to start my walk in from of Ekimise, but I forgot to press the record button. lol So we started our walk in the middle of somewhere instead and walked backwards to Ekimese.
I think now is Osmanthus fragrans season? I love how the flower smells along my walk. It is one of my favourite floral teas as well. The smell and taste are very refreshing.
Please enjoy, don’t forget hit the like button and subscribe.

Actually, you couldn't have picked a better spot to press the button and start this walk. This store on the left, "Nakaya-san", is quite famous for 東京力車 fans, since it is their main supplier of たび (often referred to as "Ninja Shoes"). I'm definitely getting a pair of those along with some new hanten to replenish my weary wardrobe. Beautiful work all around Sensō-ji with the golden afternoon light, some seriously awesome shots.
I love Osmanthus fragrans / Sweet Osmanthus as well. In Europe, we have many olive trees around the Mediterranean but I believe this variant is endemic to Asia. I've seen many of them on pictures sent from my friends in Beppu, Saga and Fukuoka. I really like their peach / apricot scent in this season and I would sure be curious to taste cakes, teas and other preparations derived from it.
Speaking of which, I'd recommend you swing by Matsuchiyama-shoden's gardens if and when you have the time. They're amazing all-year-long but especially during Autumn. Thanks in advance and thumbs up on that vid, 👏🙏👍. またね, 🖐.
Ninja shoes, ninja shoes…!!! Weeeee.. 👍😊. Beautiful weather, nice walk as always Akane. 😊
