Japan's Autumn Leaves Tour 🍁 From Kintaikyo Bridge to Kyoto



The famous autumn leaves spots tour in Iwakuni, Hyogo and Kyoto in Japan! (京都の紅葉の名所) I visited Kintaikyo Bridge (錦帯橋), Himeji Castle (姫路城), Koko-en Garden (好古園), Tofukuji Temple (東福寺), Tenryuji Temple (天龍寺), Arashiyama Mountains (嵐山) , Kokedera Saihoji Temple (苔寺西芳寺), Kiyomizudera Temple (清水寺), Eikando Zenrinji Temple (永観堂禅林寺), Yanagidani Kannon (柳谷観音), and Ryoanji Temple (竜安寺). It wasn’t the peak season for autumn leaves, but I was able to enjoy autumn in Japan.

If you travel to Yanagidani Kannon in the thumbnail image in the future, I highly recommend taking a taxi from the nearest station because otherwise you would have to walk uphill for more than an hour. In addition, Kokedera (Moss Temple) is a popular tourist destination by reservation only, so it is recommended to book as soon as your travel schedule is fixed.

    * 寺院の拝観料がバチクソ高い

    * 拝観料、追加料金区域、御朱印、夜間ライトアップ特別拝観料、とエンドレス課金ゲーが止まらない
    * The autumn leaves are kind of beautiful even if it's not the peak season
    * 紅葉はピーク時期じゃなくてもなんだかんだ綺麗
    * Thank you to all the staff who guide tourists until late at night
    * 混雑の中、夜遅くまで順路に立って案内してくれるスタッフさん、本当にお疲れさまです
    * I decided to walk to Yanagidani Kannon from the nearest station in order not to waste the taxi fare. However I was exhausted because I had to walk uphill on a mountain road for more than an hour.
    * 最寄駅から柳谷観音までのタクシー代をケチって歩くことにしたら山道の上り坂を1時間歩く羽目になり疲労困憊になる
    * I was overtaken by many rich taxi users and lost my motivation, so I wanted to give up on the way and take a taxi. But no empty taxi came and I ended up arriving as it was.
    * タクシー利用の上級国民にビュンビュン抜かされ心が折れ、途中でギブアップしてタクシーを使おうとするが、空車のタクシーが全く来なくて結局そのまま着いてしまう

    * 一部の寺の夜間ライトアップはプロジェクションマッピング的なやつでパリピ化してたんだけどジャパニーズワビサビはいずこへ…？
