Our day started off with rain and a typical 7-11 breakfast before heading towards Furano. Our first stop was the Cheese Factory, an improvised stop as it was one of the few indoor attractions in the area.

We visited the nearby Ningle Terrace afterwards, a picturesque string of timber cottages in the woods selling traditional handicrafts.

We filled our stomachs up at a local cheese ramen restaurant and with the weather turning better, we finally set off for the Lavender farm and Farm Tomita.

Before heading to our accommodation for the night, the JR Inn at Asahikawa station, we bought a local cantaloupe for dessert at a supermarket.

Coming up – Shirogane Blue Pond and more flower fields!
