    Hakone-Kanagawa is a very interesting place. As a curiosity, I have a great pc wallpaper of that same railway bridge in winter 15:49. And in spring is a Sakura-train spot 🙂

    I've been to Owakudane in fall 2016 with a tour group. I had one of the black eggs there. Eggs cooked in hot water from the active volcanic vents lol. Supposed to add 7 years to your life. From there we took the pirate ship across lake Ashi to Hakone. Stopped just outside town and walked an historic trail into town. Great views of Fuji! Stayed at a ryokan. Had dinner at a nearby restaurant. Best fried chicken I've ever had. The Hakone volunteer fire department got off duty and came into the same restaurant. Very friendly guys!

    If you're stuck in traffic with a car, it's worse on the bus. My friends got stuck in traffic on Marine Day and they said people just started walking.

    I have not been to Hakone since I was a kid in the 90s, but somehow this place still looks so familiar. I would definitely like to visit again. Hope you take some pictures and share them with us…. but more importantly, attack the soba line!
