Nejo castle was built in 1334. In 1941 it was declared a historic site, and in 1983 the excavation and recovery of the ancient site began. In 1994 the rebuilding was finished and the castle opened as a historic walkthrough. Follow along as we stumble onto this amazing tourist location. You can find this castle in Hachinohe, Aomori Prefecture, Japan. This area holds historic value as the Nanbu clan (a Northern family) held this territory for 300 years before relocating to modern day Iwate Prefecture. The site was abandoned in the early 1600s and left to deteriorate over time.
Thank you so much for joining us on this little adventure! 🙂
