China could have took taiwan many decades ago. That could have been there chance to return it to the mainland. But now taiwan is so invested in there independence so similar to usa and uk from back in 1700’s if not more. Taiwan developed its own identity. China should be a big brother influence not a bully. What good will you get from a small island that resents you. Sure maybe if you dump 100 dreds of thousands of dollars into it . Maybe they wont like you but more tolerant to your propaganda even though they have chosen democracy to a point it even is more pure than are own american one. Im very very proud of taiwan and as and american what they are doing makes me very happpy and hummble and i will be here to support them 150% of the way! Hope you all feel the same!

I'm praying that the problems with China are solved peacefully; don't want to see this fantastic country destroyed by invaders. Also be aware of countries that are inciting warfare and saying they are going to help you. By all means, defend yourselves Taiwan. Incidentally I've noticed that lots of people there speak English.
