Kinkakuji also known as the Golden Pavilion in English, is a Zen temple located in Kyoto whose top two floors are completely covered in gold-leaf. Kinkakuji is one of the UNESCO World Heritage sites in Kyoto.
This is one of the most popular tourist spot in Kyoto, attracting many tourists annually both domestically and internationally.

I enjoyed this peaceful temple walk. I thought the gold temple looked very mysterious. I liked your shots of nature as well, to show the area around the temple. I liked seeing and hearing the small waterfall. I'm curious about the coins being thrown, what is the tradition involved here? It looked like the people were enjoying themselves when throwing the coins 🙂 Thank you for sharing!

Kinkakuji is one of the few shining buildings in Japan. Mysterious is that there are many golden buildings in Asia.
