Einsiedeln is a municipality and district in the canton of Schwyz in Switzerland.The lake (Sihlsee) was created by damming the Sihl river and flooding a section of the upper Sihl valley.
Einsiedeln is a popular destination for day trips thanks to its mostly fog-free location and the beautiful alpine landscape.

It was the Summer of 1994 while I was doing my internship at hotel drei konige in einsiedeln , that I visited this lake with two of my friends…and we all went for a swim in this lake. I never did get the opportunity to go back to switzerland again, but if i would then i would certainly go back there. Fond memories.
