  2. I looks like this year my city, Maizuru, will be hosting a German Christmas thing.  They have not done anything like this since being here, so I'm curious to see what they will do.

  3. Stollen is a German Kuchen  with marzipan that I am waiting to show up at the Aldi's in town. Just love that stuff. And it only comes around at this time of year.

  4. so just wondering, why a German Christmas market? Curious if there is some connection (no ww2 jokes) or just a random connection since you mentioned it's been happening for several years now. I think it's kinda neat, just wondering if you know the history of the market.

  5. We have "Christkindlmarkt" here in Chicago this time of year as well, and I can see some of the similarities between the two…
    It's rather appropriate that there's one in Osaka, seeing that the two cities are sister cities.
