Apartment hunting in Japan is really interesting as there is a lot of choice, however a lot of places are really expensive.
When we moved to our new apartment a moving company came to our place to say how much it would cost, mind you that we were only moving 1-2km away from our old place. They charged a ridiculous amount of money and were very persistent and arrogant so we would sign a contract with them. In the end we moved everything by ourself during Japanese summer heat and I was sick for a full week because of that but at least we saved up a lot of money doing it ourself hahaha. I can not imagine how much you must have paid for the moving company.
