I was seriously worried about winter in Japan. I heard about the lack of central heating and insulation. How would I survive?!
Spring is clearly on its way and I guess I can now say that I’ve survived my first winter in Japan. So, these are the tips I have for keeping warm in Japan.
How do you keep warm in Japan?
Much love and happy travels

The sticky ones you can stick to your stomach, thighs or your lower / mid back
I'm from the Caribbean and I've never experienced the cold or snow I have no idea what I'm going to do about the cold if I get into JET 😂😂😂
I am a beginner who has just started learning english. What do you call the kairo in english?
Is all of Japan usually cold during winter?
石油ファンヒーターがお奨め✨( ̄▽ ̄)安い・温もる♨・安全 ※エアコンは効きが悪いし(^-^;電気代が高い😱
At 6:49 it called Disposable Heating Pad, you can buy them here in Canada too.
Hi Meggie! First of all, happy women's day 🙂 . I found your channel on Ishigaki's video and subscribed at the same time, I love Okinawa!!!
So, here is my tip: this device is used to keep the mold away from your futton but also is usefull to warm your bed before sleep. A bit more expensive models are also designed to dry your clothes: https://goo.gl/8qheZS
And at the cold seasons or rainy days, japanese people whose don't have a dryer on the laundry machine usually dry their clothes at the coin laundrys ;).
Someday in the future if you have time, would mean a lot to me to do a collab video with an native
english speaker youtuber here in Japan, I started a channel but I'm not confident enough to talk on it yet 😅.
Keep warm 😉!
We pushed a lot of buttons before we figured ours out in Shanghai this winter.
I wish we had this kind of winter in Quebec … -.- Below 0 only at night hahaha. That's funny :p
>9:54 I can't see what kind of fan this is but Dehumidifier works very well for drying clothes. When you go out for work just put it on and 8 hours later it takes about a liter of water. It automatically stops when it reaches to maximum bottle. (You can do it at night but it is a bit noisy.)
The sticky ones are good if you have back or shoulder pain. You can stick them on the inside/outside of your clothing to help warm your muscles where you have pain
aha congrads on surviving lol
Thanks for the advice, Very helpful topic!
This video was very good
Heat techs are design to keep your body temp the same and not to warm you up. To keep warm in Japan, you need to dress in layers and cover your neck with scarfs.
Stick Cairo on around under neck (top of back)
You will feel so warm 🥵
