Clearing up the lip thing, because there's lots of questions. I had a zit on my lip, my lip was a little swollen, but not much from. After lunch I popped it and laid down. I woke up to my entire lip swollen. I thought the two were related, the zit and the swollen lip, but they weren't.As a result I did not take bennadryl right away and it got worse. However, we finally started that and after 2 days of taking anti- histamine eventually the swelling went down. It took most of the rest of my trip to heal the cracks in my lips from being swollen and dry. I am going to get an allergy test to find out what caused it officially.

That red top was spectacular on you. It's also an auspicious color in China. It is beautiful there! I'm glad you didn't let the swollen lip hold you back. It looks too nice to stay in. So happy you didn't cheat yourself out of the lovely place with a rich traditional culture. Love the cat ears too! Very kawaii! They are all about that there. Also nice that you traveled with your father.

Hello, I am just following you for a few days and I think you are so funny. I study in China and it is so nice to see your first impressions because mine were exactly the same! But living here you get used to it very fast! PS: All foreigners get these weird illnesses in China and no one knows why!
What a fun trip! Don't even worry about the lip sweetie. I pay a lot of money to get my lips like that every six months when I get Restylane injections. BTW what is the name of that dish you were eating that gave you the reaction? I could save myself a bundle by skipping my trip to Dr. Rosenthal and eating that! XOXO

I feel for you on the lip. I did the same with a pimple that was deep in my lip, but by accident while I was biting into a hard apple and peeling my lip back a little farther than the pimple liked. It took ages to go down.

Idk if you ever plan to go back to shanghai but I recommend using the public transportation (Instead Of hailing cabs). The subway is incredible! It’s on time, so fast, and very clean. Also it’s insanely cheap. Like 1/10 of the cost of US subway fares
