I was sent to Sapporo, Hokkaido for training last week. Just by chance, on Friday evening July 29, 2022, the Toyohira River Fireworks Festival was held and is the most popular fireworks festival in Sapporo. Thousands came to see the fireworks but it was still very calm and not crowded compared to fireworks events in big cities on Honshu. Over the summer, Sapporo has four main fireworks festivals. I always say Japan is not the place to visit in the summer due to the high temperatures and extreme humidity. The only exception is the island of Hokkaido. It has some humidity but it is still quite comfortable and the temperatures do not get that high. I love Hokkaido. It is like the Alaska of Japan! ❤️

My mother used to say certain things could never be experienced the same way twice. She also used to say that certain gifts, especially of Japanese food items brought to her here in the states, were only to be had once in a lifetime. She lived according to Ichi-go Ichi-e without ever saying so.
I recall when you mentioned this concept before in a previous video. A little light illuminated above my head and I was reminded of the many times she expressed this idea without actually describing it.
