Amelia Island, Florida is a lovely barrier island about 40 min from downtown Jacksonville. Some of the beaches in Florida are here. But what started as a beautiful beach day ended up with a tornado warning. Still, we had plenty of time to enjoy the island, and this is what you see in this video.

The main city on Amelia Island is Fernandina Beach. Here you’ll see some of the main attractions, like the historic downtown, the Main Beach Park, Fort Clinch State Park, and Amelia Island lighthouse. Amelia Island is a perfect day trip from Jacksonville, it’s a great option to enjoy the beach and a charming city center.

    Great video, not sure if you knew but there's a Nuclear Submarine base in Kingsland Georgia. People gather to the beach outside of Ft Clinch watch the Submarines pass. Salty Pelican is one of the best restaurants in the area, very hard to get a seat there sometimes.
