The Shimotsui Eyeglasses Bridge in Shimanto Town, Kochi Prefecture, Shikoku Region of Japan, was built around 1944 as a track bridge for trolley trains used in the forestry industry, which was flourishing at the time. The bridge was named Eyeglasses Bridge because it looks like a pair of glasses.

I enjoy walking and bicycling to various places in Shikoku.
Shikoku is the smallest of the four main islands of Japan, and that’s where I live.
I’m Japanese and my English is not very good, but I hope you will feel free to comment.
