How to use Internet cafe in Japan – Can travelers use Internet Cafe as a hotel?
I see many videos of Internet cafe in Japan recently. But foreign travelers use it as a hotel? Is it comfortable comparing with capsule hotel or hostels?
So I decided to visit the Internet cafe called Kaikatsu Club, which seems the most popular Internet cafe, and you can find it anywhere in Japan.
What I thought After visit
cons and pro of using Internet cafe as a hotel.
Good part is, in the Internet Cafe, you can lock the room while you cannot lock the room in capsule hotels due to regulations.
The ceiling is high, so I didn’t feel claustrophobia.
The room and shower are clean and well maintained.
You don’t feel as lonely as hotel, in case you are a solo traveler. Pricing is stable and doesn’t soar like hotels in Tokyo.
Negative side is, there is no space for suitcases, so you need to choose the room with chair, and it might not fit if you have too big suitcases. Also there is no window in the room, so you might want to go out time to time to feel the fresh air. When you want to make sure that you have a seat, you can make reservation but you need a membership card. I recommend you to make a membership card when you arrive Japan.
🏆 Major Internet cafe chain in Japan.
As all sites are in Japanese, it might be better to search near by stores on Google.
