Shrouded in mystery, Kinojo Castle (translated to mean Demon Castle), is believed to have been home to a demon called Prince Ura who ruled the area from here. šŸÆ Remarkably the size of today’s castle ruins (originally built more than 1,300 years ago,) suggests it was one of Japan’s largest.

šŸ“ Kinojo Castle is located atop Mt. Kinojo overlooking the Seto Inland Sea in Soja City, approximately 40 minutes by car from Okayama City. It’s around 5 km from the Hattori station on JR Kibi Line.
