About Hinotori Premium cars,
The first carriage on each side is a premium carriage.
The seats are lined up in rows of two plus one with electrically reclining seats made of genuine leather, and the seat pitch is 1.3m, one of the largest in Japan for a railroad car, which is equivalent to that of Grand Class and First Class of planes. The seats are equipped with large head-rests with height and angle adjustment functions, electric leg rests, seat heaters, and reading lights. All seat recliners can be operated by remote control, and the recliners, headrests, and leg-rests can be operated independently. It is equipped with electric free-stop roll curtains and spot air conditioning that can be opened and closed manually. The interior is based on beige and dark wood, with red and black checkered carpeting. The LED indirect lighting on the ceiling can be adjusted to full color, and lights up in blue before arriving at the terminus station. Regular cars. The middle carriage is a regular carriage, with 2 rows of reclining seats equipped with height-adjustable footrests. The seat pitch is 1.6, which is the same as that of green cars of Shinkansen/bullet-train and conventional limited express trains of JR company.
