Episode 9, We travel out to the stunning rural areas of Goa and visit the delightful Sahakari Spice Farm in Ponda which includes a delicious traditional Goan lunch, including a local alcoholic drink called ‘Feni.’ The lush 130 acre plantation has so many spice trees and plants to name. The next day we head out to a friends Rubber Tree & Banana Farm. The property is near the Goa & Maharashtra border and has a river running through it with a Nature Reserve on one side that has resident Tigers & and Leopards. Tim hikes up the river in pursuit the local fresh water ‘Chonak’ (Barramundi) and Tilapia. We enjoy a beautiful traditional lunch before exploring the farm and learn how rubber is made.
