The plum blossoms begin to bloom in Fukuoka around “risshun,” which marks the arrival of spring on the calendar.

The plum blossoms, red, white, and pink, are small, lovely, and fragrant and are also the prefectural flower of Fukuoka. Around 270 trees inside Maizuru’s plum orchard are expected to come into bloom as the city moves into the spring months. On sunny days between January 27 and February 20, benches covered with red rugs will be set up so that visitors can enjoy the plum blossoms at their leisure. It’s been quite cold recently, but let’s take a look a see if they are out!

この企画の動機
20年以上にわたって印刷媒体を月刊誌として発行してきたが、ビデオも媒体の一つとして取り組みことにした。大好きな九州をカメラ片手に散策することは楽しそうだしね。福岡・九州はまだ、海外での認知度は低いけれど、規模は小さくても世界への発信ができればと考えてる。作り込んだビデオではないから、ゆっくりリラックスして楽しんで。
