We had been wanting to visit a Lavender Field for sometime now and finally we went this week on one of the hottest day (25/07/2018).
I chose to go to this Farm because it not only had Lavender but also sunflowers which were already in bloom.

Season for Lavender: April- End of Aug (Choose to go end of July as higher chance of full bloom)
Season for Sunflower: Mid July- End of Aug ( Most sunflowers were already in bloom but some yet to bloom)

Cadwell Farm in Hitchin, Hertforshire has around 25 miles of lavender rows which you can walk through and pick your own fresh flowers from. Entrance fee is 6pounds which includes cutting of your lavender. Inside their 17th century barn, there is a range of lunches, home made cakes and also lavender products.Honestly, i felt the food/drinks were pretty expensive but they allow picnics so advisable to bring your own food/drink if you like.

Open 10-5pm daily & till 9pm on Tuesdays & Fridays.

HOW TO GET THERE (using public transport): Get the train from King’s Cross/ St Pancras to Hitchin Station. Then take a taxi/ Uber to the farm. (Under 8 pounds for Uber)

*Caution: Anyone who is allergic to bee/wasp!!!
There are thousands of bees/wasps literally buzzing about.
