1. Takayama Inari shrine
高山稲荷神社

This shrine is dedicated of old to good harvests, safe seagoing, and business prosperity.

The two-meter high torii gates snake across the landscape, but their actual number is a secret. Trying to count them is part of the fun.
The shrine’s torii are a popular object of photography year round, with cherry blossoms in the spring, lush greenery in summer, and pure white snow in winter.

Transportation:
Take the Kodomari Line Konan Bus (Via Lake Jusanko) from JR Gono line Goshogawara Station (takes about 40 minutes),
then get off at Takayamainari Jinja Entrance. It’s a 5 minutes’ taxi ride.

2. Tsuru-no-Mai Bridge
鶴の舞橋

The 300m triple-arched Tsuru-no-Mai Bridge is Japan’s longest wooden bridge and is made from locally produced Hiba *Japanese cypress*trees. The bridge spans a section of Lake Tsugaru Fujimi with magnificent views of Mount Iwaki.
The bridge was constructed in 1994 using traditional Japanese architectural techniques.
Locals and tourists alike love the bridge for the warmth of its wooden finish and elegant arches.
