Established in 2017 in a bid to rejuvenate the areas affected by the Great East Japan Earthquake in 2011, the Reborn Art Festival – a fusion of all things art, music and food – has returned to Miyagi Prefecture for its third edition! The latest program has been split into two segments and while the first wraps up on 26 Sep, the second is slated to kick-off in Japan’s springtime (late April to early June 2022). Stay tuned!

Pictured is just a taste of the level of artwork showcased at the festival! This colourful and kitschy piece was crafted by famous Japanese contemporary artist, Sebastian Masuda, for the festival’s 2019 event. You can now see this piece at Kurkku Fields in Chiba Prefecture. 🎨
