僕は７年間日本に住んでいますが、ただ一回しか映画館に行った事がありません。
そこで見たのが「もものけ姫」でした。初めてのGhibliのアニメでした。
本当に感動して、このような傑作が20年前に作られていたなんて信じられないほどびっくりしました。
映像、音楽、ストーリー、全て完璧でした。
その中でも一番印象的だった部分はアシタカとヤックルが村を離れ、雄大な自然を舞台に旅立つシーンでした。
哀愁を帯びたそのシーンで、バックミュージックとして流れていた「旅立ち～西へ～」という曲を聞いて、
「この音楽を使って、自然のビデオを作りたい」と瞬時に思いました。
その後、自分の思いを実現するために、何回か北海道へ向かう事になりました。
北海道を一周し、綺麗な風景を見たり、可愛い動物たちに出会ったり、
親切にしてくれた友達と一緒に森を散策したりしました。
本当に充実した旅となり、いい思い出ばかりでした。
久石 譲さんの曲をお借りし、自分が撮っていた素材と組み合わせて、北海道のビデオを作成しました。
視聴者の皆さんへ北海道の大自然がどんなに美しいかを伝えられればと思います。

I’ve been living in Japan for 7 years, but it’s only one time that i went to movie theater.
The movie was Princess Mononoke. And it was also the first time i ever saw a Ghibli anime.
The movie, the music, and the story were so perfect that I didn’t even believe that this masterpiece was made around 20 years ago.
The most impressed part in the movie was the scene of Ashitaka’s departure from his village to start the long journey in magnificent nature with his friend – Yakkuru.
And when i heard “Journey to the west”, the background music of that sorrowful scene,
the idea of combination this music and the video of nature instantly popped up in my mind instantly.
After that, i decided to go to Hokkaido – the second main island in Japan in order to turn my thoughts into reality.
Why Hokkaido? Because Hokkaido is really famous for it’s beautiful nature,
and it is also a big home sweet home of so many wildlife animals that we can not in the city.
And i was right, Hokkaido lived up to my high expectations.
Wandering around, seeing beautiful landscapes, encountering so many cute animals,
walking into deep forest with my friend. Those all were really good memories about this beautiful place.
With the music of Hisaishi Joe – brilliant Japanese composer who made so many Ghibli song,
and all the footages that i took after several times visiting Hokkaido, i made this video to show you how wonderful nature in Hokkaido is.
