Japan’s main island, Honshu, has it’s most Southerly point in an unusual location, and when I learnt of this I was intrigued. The more I researched the area, very much off the beaten path, I knew we had to make a stop. I imagined getting up early to enjoy the sunrise and start of the day at the Pacific Ocean’s edge, taking a moment to recharge. It became a reality! It was a bonus that we would learn about Hashigui-iwa Rocks the night before and be able to fit an unplanned visit to these cool geological formations.
Come along and experience the start of a cool fall day at the edge of the Pacific Ocean in Kushimoto, Honshu’s most Southerly point.
