Early August brings Goshogawara City’s streets to life with the vibrant Tachineputa Festival. Unique to Aomori Prefecture, the Tachineputa parade’s largest floats stand at a whopping 23 metres tall and weigh up to 19 tonnes. The vivid floats boast intricate designs – showing three-dimensional images of samurai warriors, mythical creatures and characters. 👀

During the festival, an array of Tachineputa floats of many sizes are paraded through the city with live dance performances and music, all paired with festival food stalls – an unforgettable summer experience! 🏮
