Mazulu Halal Beef Noodle (Mǎzilù Lanzhou Beef Noodles)
Address: 〒101-0051 Tokyo, Chiyoda City, Kanda Jinbocho, 1 Chome−3−18

In this episode of Slurp’s Up, Frank seeks out halal ramen in Tokyo, starting with Mazulu Halal Beef Noodle in Kanda Jinbocho. Known as the used bookstore capital of Tokyo, Jinbocho is located within walking distance of several universities, making the area popular with students and academics.

At Mazulu Halal Beef Noodle, they specialize in Chinese-style halal ramen made with hand-pulled noodles. The beef noodle soup here can be customized to your liking, offering 9 different styles of noodles, ranging in thickness and shape (round, flat, or triangular). Frank orders the extra thick, triangular-shaped noodles (number 9) and watches as the cooks handpull the noodles in the glass-encased kitchen. The steaming bowl of halal ramen comes topped with beef slices, chili oil, coriander, daikon and radish.
