A stream originated from Bulgoksan Mountain in Yangju-si, Gyeonggi-do, and joins the Han River near Geumho and Seongsu in Seongdong-gu, Uijeongbu-si and northeastern Seoul. After documenting in Songjeong, Seongdong-gu, the lower stream, it joins Cheonggyecheon Stream, the largest tributary of power, and enters the main stream of the Han River directly downstream of the Seongsu Bridge. It is the longest stream in downtown Seoul with an area of 299.6 square kilometers, a basin extension of 34.8 kilometers, and a basin average width of 8.861 meters. Cheonggyecheon Stream, which flows through central Seoul, is also a tributary of the stream, while Uicheon Stream, which flows through Gangbuk-gu and Dobong-gu, is also a tributary of the stream. There are many other tributaries, including Danghyeoncheon Stream, about nine.
During the Joseon Dynasty, Seongjeopsip-ri, Hansungbu, and Yangju-gun, Gyeonggi-do were located in the southern section of Hapsu-bu, Uichon.
Jungnangcheon Stream is one of the parts of the extra-ordinate rescue song. Therefore, significant damage is expected in the vicinity in the event of an earthquake in the Additional Decree Rescue.
