The Hirosaki castle is one of the most famous cherry blossom area in northern Japan.

Hirosaki Park in Hirosaki City, Aomori Prefecture, is known as one of Japan’s three major cherry blossom viewing spots. It is in full bloom around the end of April every year and is crowded with many tourists until Golden Week. The highlight is the competition between the cherry blossoms in full bloom and Hirosaki Castle. And the oldest Yoshino cherry tree in Japan, the flower raft and the cherry blossoms reflected in the water mirror. Why don’t you enjoy the cherry blossoms in Hirosaki, which is said to be the most beautiful in Japan by our livestream tour?

In addition to the cherry blossoms, you can’t miss “Hirosaki Castle,” which has a high historical value.
Hirosaki Park was originally the area of Hirosaki Castle of the Tsugaru Clan, but was opened to the public as a park during the Meiji era. The castle tower, five castle gates, and three yagura built in the Edo period remain as they were at that time, and are designated as national important cultural properties.

The first thing you should see when you go to Hirosaki Park is the cherry blossoms that bloom for about 2km outside the park. It is also here that it first scatters because it begins to bloom early, but the sight of the scattered petals floating in the water of the moat is also acclaimed as beautiful.

The second highlight is Yoshino cherry tree, which is the best in Japan. There are two Yoshino cherry trees in Hirosaki Park, which are said to be the best in Japan. One of them, Yoshino cherry tree near the Ninomaru castle gate, is said to be “the oldest in Japan” and is over 130 years old. The other is Yoshino cherry tree, which is “the largest trunk in Japan”. It is located behind the “Green Counseling Center” near the central high school entrance on the east side of the park.
