Gorge-ous views await at Dakigaeri Gorge in Akita Prefecture! 😍 A 1.5km trail along the stream offers an easy way to enjoy the lush surrounds of primeval forests and azure mountain water, and takes around 30 minutes one way.
Mid-June to late August is ideal for verdant summer views, while early October to early November is generally the best time to see the autumn leaves. (The trail is closed from late November to late April each year due to snow.)
