If you want to get in touch with your wild side, take a trip to Iriomote Island in Okinawa, part of the Yaeyama Island group. With most of the island covered by dense, mountainous forest, you’ll also be able to find some beautiful (and quiet) beaches and some of Japan’s best coral reefs. Or consider exploring its lush interior by kayak. 🌳🛶
