Camping Alone in Mountains near Tokyo | Japan Outdoors

This was a winter no talk ASMR solo camp Japanese style at Nishi-Tanzawa Well Camp in Kanagawa Prefecture near Tokyo. If you want good camping in Japan near Tokyo this is the place. About 15 min from Lake Tanzawa in the Tokyo countryside.

It’s the first place I ever camped in Japan over 20 years ago. It is a special place. Nowadays it can get crowded on the weekends but if you’re lucky enough to get away during the week, you can be nearly alone!

If you’re in the area and you want to try camping in japan then I do recommend Nishi-Tanzawa Well Camp. The staff is friendly and helpful to Gaijin. Cost was 4000 Yen per night during this winter solo camp. Price may very depending on the season and if it’s a weekend or holiday.
