Check out those flames! 🔥 The Shunie Ceremony, held every year in March at the Todaiji Nigatsudo in Nara Prefecture, is famous for its torch that runs through the dark hallways. The flames may appear different in real, but we still love the contrast of the fiery flames against the darkness! Please note that because some viewing spots for the torch won’t be available this year due to the spread of COVID-19, it’s better if you consider spotting the ceremony when the situation settles.
