Sakura season isn’t just a feast for the eyes – it’s also a feast for the tastebuds too. 🌸😋 During springtime, expect to see many pink-coloured dishes and sakura-themed treats, some of which are flavoured with this delicate flower.
Whilst some might expect sakura to have a taste somewhat similar to cherries, that’s not the case. Sakura has a very subtle and delicate floral flavour. Each spring, both sweet and savoury dishes feature this colourful and seasonal twist. From sakura tea and sake, to sakura udon, mochi and jellies, there’s a whole host of delicious dishes to try!
