Imagine stumbling across this giant art installation in the middle of a forest! 🤩🌿🌳 Only a few tourists know about Murou Art Forest located in Nara Prefecture’s north-eastern countryside.
Originally developed by local sculptor Inoue Fukichi and completed by Israeli artist Dani Karavan in 2006, the modern sculptures and installations are designed to exist in harmony with the surrounds.
🎟️ Admission costs 400 yen for adults (approx $5 AUD) 200 yen for teenagers (approx $2.50 AUD) and children can enter for free.
📍The nearest station to the park is Muroguchi-Ono on the local Kintetsu Osaka Line, which is accessible from Nara, Kyoto and Osaka. The park is a beautiful 2-hour hike from the station through a canopied forest along the river, although you can drive or get the bus too.
