Owakudani, Hakone, Japan
Hakone Free Pass (ordered from Klook)
Owakudani is known as “The Valley of Hell.” It was formed as a result of the last eruption of Mount Hakone Volcano some 3000 years ago.
To get there we had to take the Hakone Ropeway. In Owakudani we were able to observe the dynamic activity of Mt. Hakone. We were also lucky that it was a fine day and caught an amazing view of Mt. Fuji.

The Story of the Black Egg “kuro tamago” 黒い卵 and the Black Ice Cream of Owakudani Volcanic Valley (Bisaya / Tagalog Vlog)
The eggs are ordinary chicken eggs but the shell turns black due to being boiled in the hot sulfur spring. Local tradition holds that for each black egg eaten, seven years is added to one’s life.
So what happens when you eat the black ice cream? If you’re curious to know, check-out this video. 😂
