Today we’re exploring hidden gems in Nagasaki near Sasebo Naval Base. Looking to travel around on a day trip from Sasebo? This is your guide to a fun filled day!

Welcome Back! This weekend we are exploring some of the lesser known spots in the Nagasaki Prefecture. Nagasaki is an absolutely gorgeous place—even in the winter! Just imagine how pretty these waterfalls and beaches are during the spring and summer.

I didn’t know this before moving here, but apparently Kyushu is pretty known for having some amazing waterfalls! We’ve already been to a few and decided to check out another during the off season. The rainy season is really the best time to waterfall hunt!

Kyushu also has some beautiful beaches with crystal clear water! Some of my favorites are within only an hour drive of Sasebo. The ones we’re visiting today are only 30minutes from where we live in Hario. I think these get pretty crowded during the high season and definitely be careful of the jellyfish!
