Lake Akan 阿寒湖 is a lake in Kushiro, Hokkaidō, Japan. It is located in Akan National Park and is a Ramsar Site.
Akan town 阿寒町 is located at the lake side. As of September 30, 2004 it had an estimated population of 6,518 and an area of 739.25 km². The name comes from an Ainu word meaning “Eternal” or “unchanging”.
