We have been insanely lucky to be living in Cape Town, South Africa during the Corona Virus Pandemic; and since we’ve been here we have seen quite a few whales of the coast of Cape Town, but NONE as close to the beach as in Hermanus.

We now totally understand why Hermanus is the whale watching capital of South Africa. The visuals are insane. Just a few meters away from the old harbour you can see the whales, if you walk to the rocks it feels like you can touch the southern right whales.

South Africa has so much to offer, with unlimited things to do and we appreciate that more every day. In our travel vlog this week we show off the amazing coast line of Hermanus South Africa, just two hours outside of Cape Town.

We used our DJI Mavic Air 2 to get some incredible aerial shots of the whales, as well as getting some awesome footage from the old harbour! Whale watching with a drone is certainly one of the top experiences I’ve had in Cape Town.

The town of Hermanus has amazing restaurants, foods and places to stay, so after you are done whale watching you can rest assured you will not be board.

We really hope that you enjoy this travel vlog and that you get to visit these great ocean travels yourself one day! But for now, enjoy the videos we captured!
