Satsuma Kiriko Cut Glass was manufactured only for a short period of time in the late 19th century. The lost art to create the delicate “Satsuma-bokashi” gradation by cutting off the layer of vividly colored crystal was restored in 1988. Visit the workshop at Sengan-en in Kagoshima City where you can watch the craftsmen making the exquisite Satsuma #Kiriko.
