Hello Again! Day for is coming to an end, it’s been quite an adventure today.

Brother Sister Adventure In Japan!

After leaving Tokyo Tower, we came across some beautiful architecture in the Cheif Temple Of The Jodo-Buddist. Known as Zojoji Temple, it is located near the Tokyo Tower in Shiba. The temple is famous for the Sangedatsu-mon gate, “The Big Bell,” and is perfect for cherry blossom viewing during the blossom months. We were immediately drawn to the childrens deities known as jizo statues. The statues are care guardians and were dedicated for the safety growth of children but also as a memorial service for still birth and miscarried children. The windmills and clothing that the deities are wearing are a symbol of protection and warmth. It was truly an amazing site to see and although it felt uncomfortable to do a lot of filming in this area, we were happy that we got to experience this remarkable dedication.

Continuing our walk through Shiba to the train station, we seen the
“Maricar” Go-Kart tour group which resembles the fun video game Mario Cart. There are many tourist sites which offer this package and for about $50 every 1/2 hour, you can rent and tour the city dressed as one of the beloved characters from the game.

We finally made it to the Tokyo Skytree which is a shopping mall below an observation deck which was completed in February 2012. We got very side tracked while in the mall trying to find the observation deck and ended up shopping most of the night. We found another Pokemon Center which of course we spent a great amount of time in and just being lost wondering around. So side tracked that by the time we made it to the observation deck it was late at night, closing soon (with a long line of course), and we were to exhausted from all the running around that we decided to skip the tower. Even though we missed out on two observation decks, we had more fun exploring the areas around the “tourist traps” which waiting in line would’ve killed our entire day.

In the Tokyo Skytree we found sisters favorite store Daiso which is almost like an American Dollar Store, only known for its high quality-made products. Everything in the store is 100 Yen (unless marked otherwise. It is perfect for picking up souvenirs and snacks at a great price.
