A brisk walk lasting for about one hour through Ikebukuro, on a rainy night in November 2018.

The walk starts near the north exit of the station. I walk around the metropolitan theater area for a while before heading over to the other side of the station, passing through the major shopping and entertainment districts including the Sunshine skyscraper complex as well as “Otome-road”, aka Akihabara for women, because of the large number of stores selling “boys love” manga.

The christmas illuminations had just started a few days earlier, so in this video I’m taking a look at some of those as well.

This was filmed with a Fujifilm X-T3 in 4K 60FPS. The lens used is a Laowa 9mm f2.8, and the camera was mounted on a Zhiyun Crane for stability.
