OSAKA FOOD TRIP | A 1-minute food tour of Dotonbori, Kurumon Market and Toyo Izakaya

Osaka is famous for its food. and the term “kuidaore” (“eat until you drop”) is used to describe the food culture here.
Our favorite street snack is the Takoyaki which means grilled octopus. It is perfect eating these in cold nights with a bottle of beer.

A trip to Osaka is not complete without trying out the wide variety of food in Osaka’s kitchen, the Kurumon Ichiba Market. The stall offer choices like grilled seafood, sushi, steaks and fresh produce. A single visit might not be enough to satisfy your appetite.

Then share a table with locals for beers and sushi at Izakaya Toyo, located in an alley in Kyobashi. If you’re lucky, you will see the charismatic owner personally slicing sushi and using a blowtorch to grill.
