Gokayama in Toyama Prefecture is a UNESCO World Heritage-listed site along with Shirakawago in Gifu Prefecture. Gokayama is home to two villages; Ainokura and Suganuma and both are smaller and quieter than Shirakawago. The villages will be lit up for a special event this winter. Ainokura (15-16 February, sunset to 9pm) and Suganuma (1-2, 22 and 29 February, and 7, 14 March, sunset to 8pm). #VisitJapanAU #JNTOPartner #Tradition
