If you have ever wanted to learn to ski, or go to Japan for a winter holiday, then there really is no place like Niseko. Beautiful scenery, incredible snow known locally as JAPOW and Crab Leg Ramen on the slopes are normality here.

We spent 5 days at the brand new ski in ski out Hinode Hills resort which as well as having spectacular views from the room of Mount Yotei, was perfectly paced next to beginner slopes where Mack and I learnt how to ski. Learning to ski is something I’ve always wanted to do but never plucked up the courage to do. I’ve got friends that have been skiing for years but who wants to go with experienced skiers only to make a fool of themselves!? Not me! So when YTL contacted us to learn in Niseko, we jumped (not on skis at the time) at the chance.

We hope that for all of those of you out there that have never been skiing before but always dreamed of doing so, this will give you good insight into what it’s like to learn and give you the courage and inspo to make your next trip a winter one! We’d fully recommend Niseko Village – there’s a video postcard in production which will be ready very soon! Until then, happy new year, all the best for 2020 and enjoy the video.
